How we reward you
Salary – The starting salary range is £25,000 with £28,000 per annum depending on experience.
Bonus – We believe in sharing in the reward. So, if you help the business to achieve its targets then we reward you along the way. This role will enjoy an annual target based bonus. We guarantee a £5,000 bonus paid in your first year (terms apply). Typically, our great assessors can earn an extra £12,000 -£15,000 bonus per year.
Car – You will be provided with a company car, fuel card plus expenses.
Pension – We offer a pension scheme to all our employees.
Wellness payment – We recognise and want to support the wellness of all our employees, so all HB staff receive £50 per month as a contribution towards any activity designed to support better health. So, whether its Yoga, going to the gym or something else, it’s yours to look after your health.
Working Hours – Our core hours are 40 per week, but as with all jobs in the sector, the working hours need flexibility to complete the jobs as required for customers.
Holidays and time to recharge! – We offer 22 days holiday plus bank holidays. This increases one day per annum, on the start date anniversary, up to 25 days per year. Bank holidays are in addition to this amount.
Sick Pay – Although we hope you don’t need to use it, it is reassuring to know that if you need to be off sick for major illnesses then we are able to support you with company sick pay.
Life assurance – We believe that looking after our staff is paramount. We offer a life assurance scheme with a benefit of 3 x salary.

Domestic Loss Assessor
Salary: £25 –£28,000 per annum plus generous fee structed Plus:

Location: Home based (ideally Manchester area but are flexible on location)
Hours: Full time 40 hours per week, some flexibility on hours is provided and required. You will need to be able to travel countrywide, and at times be flexible in emergency situations to support clients. In return you have flexibility, we don’t clock watch!

Responsibilities
- Respond to client’s initial claims and undertake site visits as required, sometimes during unsociable hours.
- Liaise with the client’s insurance company and/or appointed loss adjusting company to oversee the claims and communicate on behalf of the client.
- Liaise with surveyors and contractors and attend meetings throughout the duration of the building claim.
- Present and negotiate the claim, achieving the maximum value possible.
- Develop trust and positive relationships with the clients and all parties involved to achieve a successful negotiation.
- Oversee the claim from start to finish with full responsibility for a satisfactory outcome.
About you
Our ideal candidate will ideally have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in domestic claims in excess of £50,000. You will work in a large team of loss assessors who work on behalf of the policy holder to maximise their claim against the insurance company and ensure that they receive their full entitlement under their insurance policy. You will manage the claim process for from end to end. It is really satisfying and rewarding work to support your clients in some of their most difficult challenges.
- Experience of working on domestic claims in excess of £50,000.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a related/similar sector.
- Previous client facing experience is essential.
- Motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, a self starter, great organisation skills
- Strong customer service ethos that reflect our values

Job Purpose
- Delivering exceptional customer service to clients who need support with domestic claims.
Responsibilities

- Oversee the claim from start to finish which is likely to take 8+ months and with full responsibility for a satisfactory outcome.
- You will comply with all the policies, procedures and practices of the organisation and support other colleagues as required.
