What happens when you claim

When you submit a claim, your insurers will appoint a firm of loss adjusters to represent their interests. This is not an independent party: they work on behalf of the insurance company to make sure they pay out as little as possible. They will check that you have complied with your policy conditions, and that you are adequately insured.
