On the 7th July 2014 an electrical fault caused a serious fire in the dining room of a property in Huyton Liverpool.

Thankfully the young family which rented the house managed to escape the blaze but the property was severely damaged by fire and smoke and would cost over £40,000 to repair. Due to the size and nature of the fire, a forensic investigation was initiated by the insurance company to see if the landlord had complied with all of his policy conditions which could have voided the claim.

The landlord of the property appointed Harris Balcombe because he had recently had a family bereavement and due to family and work commitments wasn’t in a position to deal with the claim. After learning of our expert knowledge and researching us online he felt that HB were the best people to deal with his insurance company and their questions.
