Leicester House Fire

DOMESTIC FIRE INSURANCE CLAIM

Our clients were bundled out of their property with their two small children on a Sunday evening and stood outside as their adjoining neighbours property was burning through the roof.

The Incident

The family stood and watched as the thick black smoke enveloped their house in Leicester. The fire brigade then ran through the property and doused the first floor and loft with water to prevent the flames from taking their house. Once the fire was out the family were relieved to see their property saved, but inside they discovered extensive water and smoke damage.

The client was immediately calmed and reassured by Neil from Harris Balcombe who clearly set out what we could do.

Sophie at Harris Balcombe then took control and helped the family to deal with fire damage cleaning. A team from our network of contractors was put in to action to dry and restore the property to a pre-loss condition. We liaised with their insurance company, representing them in all elements, from agreeing costs for the work to providing an allowance for the inconvenience of relocation. We exceeded the client’s expectations in terms of the settlement of the contents claim and work done to the property.

“I am so glad we had your help to sort out everything out, you have been fab! Thank you!” Jo

“I am so glad Harris Balcombe knocked on our door after the fire at our property. We signed up with Harris Balcombe and it was the best thing we ever did. At a stressful time we were guided through what would happen to our property by Sophie. The work carried out was fantastic and we couldn’t be happier! A brilliant, friendly and professional team. Thank you! ” Jo
