Under this model, if you opt to use all of Harris Balcombe's support services for your domestic, commercial or landlord property claim, you incur no direct costs. Instead, our approved Chartered Surveyors and Insurance-approved contractors pay us a management fee to oversee the claim on your behalf.

  • How does it work?

    • Management Fee from Contractors and Surveyors: Our approved network of professionals, including Chartered Surveyors and Insurance-approved contractors, compensate Harris Balcombe with a management fee. This fee is part of the overall claim process and is paid directly by the contractors and surveyors involved in your claim. It means that you, as the policyholder, have no direct financial responsibility for our services.

Option 2: Percentage of Claim Value - Flexibility for Your Unique Needs

Understanding that some clients prefer more flexibility in choosing their contractors or handling cash settlements independently, Harris Balcombe offers the Percentage of Claim Value fee structure. This option allows clients to have greater control over the reinstatement process while still benefiting from our expertise in managing and maximising their claim.

  • How does it work?

    • Fee Based on Claim Value Plus VAT: If you choose to use your contractors, our fees are based on a percentage of the value of the claim, plus VAT. This percentage is agreed upon in advance, providing transparency about the cost implications. Our goal is to align our fees with the success of your claim, ensuring that you pay based on the value of the settlement received.
    • Payable on All Claim Amounts: The fees under the Percentage of Claim Value model are payable on all amounts received by you or anyone on your behalf under the policy, third-party payments, or any other recovery process. This ensures that our interests are aligned with yours, emphasising our commitment to securing the best possible outcome for your claim.
