Harris Balcombe Wins Top Honours At Claims Management Awards

Harris Balcombe delighted at winning Loss Assessor/Adjuster of the Year, and Outstanding Achievement Awards at the Claims Management Awards in June 2017.

The Harris Balcombe team is still celebrating following our big wins at this year’s Claims Management Awards, held in London last week. Our hard work and dedication were recognised twice over by the judges as we were awarded the coveted Outstanding Achievement Award and also took home the gong for Loss Assessor/Adjuster of the Year.

The Claims Management Awards celebrate the best of the industry and are open to all organisations involved in claims management – from lawyers, insurers and brokers to underwriters, loss adjustors, loss assessors and other service providers. More than 40 organisations and individuals were shortlisted across the categories for this year’s awards, so we found ourselves celebrating in good company.

We earned the Outstanding Achievement Award for our work with the Glasgow School of Arts (GSA). The team worked tirelessly in maintaining clear and concise communication between the Glasgow School of Arts, the insurer and all the professional support and project management teams after a fire significantly damaged the West Wing of the historic Mackintosh Building. Our dedication and efforts – which included relocating a Harris Balcombe team member to Glasgow for the duration of the project – resulted in a smooth and timely settlement process for all parties involved.

Wining this award as a loss assessor is quite a coup for the industry and we are thrilled to be recognised for our role in working with the Glasgow School of Arts team.

We pride ourselves in improving the claims handling process for all of our clients and are always striving to improve our industry, helping to raise the profile of the role of loss assessors and the work we do. Being commended by the judging panel through both our award wins is a welcome acknowledgement – and celebration – of these efforts.
